Summit (2000 - 2006): A Retrospective |
|
The past summits have played a crucial
role to help raise issues to augment bilateral trade relations
and investment between the EU nations and India. The potential
of India & EU markets in the various sectors globally
has been exploited to a great extent to the mutual advantage
of both regions. Business leaders and senior members from
industry have met on this forum to identify steps to make
the process of partnership fruitful.
The annual India-EU summit has seen participation from
dignitaries from different countries. Every Summit provides
tremendous opportunity for deliberations, networking,
and exchange of ideas amongst participants, which include
the top business fraternity, policy makers, & politicians
from EU & India.
Interactive Sectoral sessions, panel discussions, CEOs
round table meetings, business luncheon meetings, and
Business to Business meetings have been some of the highlights
of the India-EU Business summit held over the past 7 years.
Apart from businessmen and industry leaders who constitute
majority of the participants, senior ministers, government
officials, think tanks and policy makers from different
parts of India and the European Union have also been an
integral part of it.
The 8th India-EU Business Summit aims to take
this further and strengthen symbiotic business linkages,
create synergy & to enhance the still untapped potential
of economic relationship between the EU and India. |
